BACKSTAGE AT THE CIRCUS

This work is part of a series that I painted and exhibited in New York in 2018. I imagined that a group of famous artists including Picasso, Van Gogh, Gaughan, Beckmann and Munch individually attended a circus in New York. Each painting in this series depicts various circus scenes, some including artists within the work.
