SEATED FIGURE AT THE BEACH

This work came about after visiting a farm on Phillip Island where I live. They farm beef cattle, laying hens, goats as well as a market garden. The farm is adjacent the beach. The picture sees a couple leaving their beach picnic because of approaching darkening skys. The goats are unsettled too. The seated figure looks to the viewer in answer to whether she should go or leave the beach. In contrast I have added a warm glaze to offset the darkening atmosphere. Size: 40 x 50cm.
